Wuji Hundun Qigong

    ...and Qigong Instructor Certification Training

This powerful and effective 800 year-old Qigong form has been handed down by Master Duan Zhi Liang to Francesco Garri Garripoli when he lived and studied in the Master's clinic in Beijing, China in the early 1990's. This was an amazing opportunity to meet this famous Qigong Master who had never left China and was little know outside the country.  After his studies, Francesco featured Master Duan in the television documentary that he produced and directed which aired on PBS-TV with a Nielsen Rating of over 88 million viewers. This introduced Master Duan to the world.  Francesco, has been teaching the Wuji Hundun Qigong form at the direction of the Master ever since.  Francesco talked with Master Duan while they were both in China months before the Master passed from this world in July 2016 at 105 years old... well, at least that old since he always said he gave a younger age in his Passport to be able to leave China when he began to travel to the West! Now it is time to honor his legacy and deepest wish to offer Wuji Hundun Qigong outside of its homeland and train Certified Qigong Instructors to help this powerful form live on.

Master Duan

As a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a Martial Artist just as most members of his family were, Master Duan Zhi Liang was the classic example of the "old school" Master.  He stayed quiet and you had to seek him out... It wasn't about marketing or public displays for him, though when it was time for him to teach, you could see his power, grace, human, and genius.

An expert in comparative religions and a true Taoist, being a devout Catholic made him a bit of a rebel in Communist China.  His family became Christian during the time of Marco Polo's journey into China during the Yuan Dynasty.  This was also when the Wuji Hundun Qigong form was developed into a structured series of movements and concepts. This powerfully Shamanic form blends both the Medical Qigong "healing" aspects with  Martial "self defence" aspects.

For modern Qigong practitioners, the Wuji Hundun form offers a unique opportunity to honor an ancient tradition expressed in a series of movements... and for those willing to go deeper, discover the Shamanic and more philosophical aspects of the form.  Even the name carries deep meanings that push us to explore the very nature of our existence, our relationship to the Infinite Qi Field, and what it means to actually experience Qigong.
